Production Artist

On August 13, 2019

“Don't tell people how to do things, tell them what to do and let them surprise you with their results.”

George S. Patton

The production artist is the backbone of the art department and requires a mix of both creative and technical skills. They take direction and are independently motivated to accomplish daily tasks while having the vision to keep all creative branding consistent.

While an art director comes up with creative concepts and the graphic designer executes them, it’s the production artist who brings them to life. Strong typographic and layout skills, strict attention to detail, accuracy and outstanding organizational, project management, file-organization and archiving skills are a must.

The production artist should have strong analytical skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. They should be a process-oriented self-starter and must stay up to date with new production techniques and trends through research and education.

Our production artist must have a solid knowledge of print + digital processes and proficient with software applications such as the Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office.
